Engagement sitting near Howtown in The Lake district with Caroline & Sam & my new camera!
Caroline and Sam live and work in The lake district and so it is only fitting that they have decided to tie the knot close to their home villages by the shores of Ulswater.
We met up to make some engagement photographs and also do a recce of the area prior to their big day.
I was especially excited to meet up with them to try out a new camera I am thinking of using for wedding photography – The Sony A7 MK 2.
I’m not going to do a camera review (just yet) other than to say that one of the features that took me to the Sony is the flip out view finder which allows me to literally shoot from the hip!
In other words I don’t have to bring the camera up to my face to view the image I wish to capture! Which makes it less obtrusive and I can engage with couples in a much more open manner.
Caroline and Sam are a lovely couple and we had great fun testing out my new kit!
Here are some of the results – thanks to both of them for being such fantastic models – and I really look forward to seeing them soon for their Lake district wedding.
I’ll be there along with my new camera!
