If you have got this far, there’s a good chance you want to hire me as your wedding photographer.
I do understand that it can sometimes be a daunting and difficult task to find your ideal photographer and to trust them with your wedding day or family portrait sitting.
Your wedding will be one of the most memorable days in your life, so it makes sense you should know a bit more about who you are spending that day with and who you will be trusting to capture those wonderful memories.
That’s me on the left with the big goofy grin sipping champagne with Kerry, the beautiful lady in my life on the day I went down on one knee and she said YES!
And yes, I am afraid that’s also me wearing a pair of denim shorts quite a few years earlier …my mum loved those shorts, she calls that our Vontrapp years…(a time and a look she much preferred to my Sid Vicious years…)
As well as the the Lake District, I also shoot weddings up and down the UK, and occasionally I hop on a plane for destination weddings abroad.
When I realised photography was what I wanted to do in life, I honed my skills and learnt my craft.
After graduating with an honours degree in photography from Blackpool and Fylde College in 1997, I was presented with the Tom Gower Award from the British Institute of Professional Photography for my portfolio of work which focused on children and young people. Since then I have become one of The Lake District’s leading wedding photographers and I have also worked with many families and children of all ages on both private and commercial commissions.
I am a dad to three sons and two step sons (they feature on here quite a bit and you’ll probably hear me talk about them a lot on my blog – sorry boys!)
As well as our boys, we also have a hairier, more mischievous chum to look after – our cockapoo called Paddy. He’s quite the character and has a rather keen sock fetish! ( You might hear me talk about him a lot too!)
Photography is what I live and breathe, but I also love being in the sunshine, cycling (especially up hills), playing football, surfing and swimming in the sea and spending time with my family.
If you’d like to know more about me and what I can do for you as a photographer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – either give me a call on 0781 689 6378 or pop an email over to firstname.lastname@example.org
