Friday’s featured lake district wedding photograph: A very special hug!

For today’s featured wedding photograph I am taking you back to May last year.

To the shores of Lake Windermere to be exact where Iain and Gemma tied the knot on a glorious late spring day at Storrs Hall in the lake district!

It was a lovely day spent with fantastic people!

The newly weds had made their vows by the pagoda.

This frame was taken as family and friends gathered round to wish them congratulations.

Gemma spends a moment alone with her Grandmother before the wedding party board a boat to take in the wonderful surroundings with a cruise on the lake.

I can’t boast that there is anything  technically amazing about this image but I love it non the less.

And I think what I love about it is that I have captured a very human moment on a very special day.

When I photograph weddings I work intuitively hoping to capture what spontaneously emerges.

You could say that I ‘feel’ as much as I ‘see’ the day’s events  unfold.

The photographs I make are about YOU and not me!

I love this photograph because it is filled with feeling!

It would be great to know what you think  about it too , please do leave a comment.
