A (grooms)man’s best friend! The Lake District wedding photographer’s blog.
This frame was snapped at Jess and Matt’s Lake district wedding a couple of years ago in the north of the county.
The gorgeous pooch belonged to Jess’s brother and was very much one of the wedding guests!
He even had his own bow tie!
I captured this frame just after Jess and Matt had committed their wedding vows during a very romantic outside ceremony.
They had already had one wedding celebration in Australia where they live.
But as Jess is from The Lake district they wanted to get married again with their English family and friends!
I shot most of this wedding using my manual helios 55ml lens..
I love the effect this lens gives to my wedding photographs, especially how the background blows out when using a wide aperture.
But the picture makes me smile, the way the dog is looking back at us and also how he sits in Jess’s brothers arms!
I had spotted that there was lots of wedding guests hugging in the background and then here we have Jess’s brother stood with his dog in his arms in the foreground…
I really love this picture, it;s humour and it’s simple composition and I hope you like it too?
If you are planning your own Lake District wedding please don’t hesitate to get in touch about photography. It would be great to hear your plans.
I do tend to get booked way in advance so the earlier the better!
