The wedding took place at Broadoaks Country Hotel on a Friday in February.
It was my third time there in a week since being there on New years eve with Leann and Mike!
Broadoaks is a lovely venue for a lake district wedding in any season, It has a particular charm during winter time with fires alight. There is a warm comfort of the soft lighting and oak interior.
The staff are charming too, and they were on hand to provide the wedding guests with mulled wine after the ceremony,
The weather gods were kind to us and it stayed dry despite the dark clouds.
And it is a a professional badge of honour to to be highly regarded by your local community. So I was thrilled that Jacqui and Jamie asked me to be their wedding photographer.
They are both originally from Windermere.
In fact Jamie’s sister Alice was at School with my son Ollie! So there were a few faces that I recognised during the day.
I noticed that Jamie was very nervous as he waited for his bride to arrive.
His Mum and dad were on hand to provide some calming words (and a drying tissue or two)
However as soon as Jacqui arrived and came to stand by his side I could see all the tension leave him and he broke out into a huge grin. And they held hands.
As a professional wedding photographer I get to see lot’s of hugging and kissing at weddings!
At Jacquie and Jamie’s winter wedding there was no holding back!
I hope you like the highlights!
Please do get in touch if you have a wedding planned! I would love to hear from you!
