The tender moment, The Father of the bride

I have had a busy weekend with back to back weddings!

On Friday I was at the newly refurbished Lyth Valley Country House hotel with Craig and Jo photographing their wedding celebrations (which included musical entertainment provided by a brilliant special guest flown in especially all the way from Spain!)  Photographs and story to follow in my next blog.

Then on Saturday I was back at Storrs hall on the edge of Lake Windermere to make the wedding photographs for Gemma and Ian and we were blessed by The Lake District weather gods as the sun shone all day!

The wedding service took place in the pagoda and immediately afterwards the guests were treated to a boat ride on the lake.

This frame was taken just a moment before Gemma’s dad took his seat in the congregation leaving Gemma alone with her groom to begin their vows.

It’s a single frame that say’s so much about the meaning and significance the time held for father and daughter.

As a professional wedding photographer it’s these fleeting but timeless emotional moments that I try to capture that tell the real story of your wedding day.

I love this image and I hope you do too. Please let me know what you think by leaving a comment, it would be lovely to hear from you.
